The case for Australian made server racks

From an eco friendly perspective, imported server racks are hard to justify. If you considering that an average 40RU unit is nearly 2 meters high and 600mm wide, much of the unit cost absorbed in freight and delivering a considerable carbon footprint, imported server racks don’t seem like a clever choice.
Now if you were to manufacture locally and spend more on R&D, use superior materials and eco friendly finishes and be in a position to offer a superior quality product in the same price range, you would have to admit there is a case for Australia made servers racks.
